Effective Feb 1, 2025: NJ MVC requires 50 hours of practice driving (10 at night) for all permit holders under age 21. Applies to permits issued on/after Feb 1, 2025. Certified on NJMVC Form BA-CSD. Older permits remain exempt. NJ is also the only state with a 'decal law' requiring red GDL decals on the vehicle.
